"Hotel Jolanda was perfect for our stay. Though it is a very old building, it has been well maintained and felt quite elegant. We had a corner room with balcony that looked down the street toward the harbor. There was no harbor view, but the few blocks toward the harbor provided everything we could want: groceries, bakery, gelato, restaurants, etc. It was a lovely neighborhood. The breakfast buffet was outstanding each morning, complete with coffee choices, fruit, pastries, meats, etc. Much more than we expected. Valet parking is off-site, which was not a problem. You can walk to everything within town. We took the ferry to Portofino and found it to be much smaller and less walkable. Santa Margherita is a lovely authentic town."

"Come nelle volte precedenti, il locale trasuda tutto il fascino di Santa com’era un tempo. L’accoglienza è magnifica: si chiacchiera, ognuno si esprime nella lingua dell’altro dopo aver spiegato che è la lingua del proprio cuore. Il servizio è estremamente cordiale. Il tempo sembra fermarsi attorno al buffet, un grande tavolo d’epoca. Una tappa da non perdere, pena un errore di gusto."

"The hotel is in a great location. However, it needs some updating. The biggest thing is the elevator needs to be updated!!!! My sister and I got stuck inside which was a traumatic situation. It stopped and the doors opened half way then the doors got stuck and it would not move once the doors closed. The staff acted like this happens all the time. It was extremely hot and no air and a frightening experience. Other guests were complaining about the elevator to deaf ears. It might be a good idea to update the breakfast with a bit more options. The rest of the stay was good."
