「Once we arrived there, we found that the hotel was closed because of the strike. No explanation in advance. We had to book other hotel suddenly and we couldn't have a choice but to stay at a hotel that is far away. We can't believe it and we don't recommend all of you to stay here.」

「I've been debating whether to leave a review. My family loved the place so much, they want to go back to England just to spend more time at the Hall. I figure it's poor taste to try to keep such an amazing place for ourselves, so here's my review.
So, the entrance is just over the top cool. The grounds and hedges are just like the pictures on the listing. (We originally weren't sure it was a real place, because it looked so cool. It's real!) My wife loved taking pictures of all the different...

「Lovely lodge . Perfect for 3 of us for a couple of days . Friends mini break. Only slight problem was it was slightly too warm in the night and the heating ( if that was what it was) was loud when it kept coming on in the night. That is being picky though and it is a beautiful lodge. 」

「Wow. This property is amazing! We needed somewhere to stop for one night en route to Scotland and we found a gem. The apartment is so spacious and well presented. It’s set in lovely grounds too. Also the communication at the time of booking and in the run up to our stay was excellent. Cannot rate this place highly enough. 」

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
The room was clean and lovely, the staff were friendly and kind, and the breakfast was very filling and delicious. Also, the hotel has spacious parking, and it is not too far from Windermere station, the lake, or many restaurants and shops. Each is about a 10-15-minute walk away.
I would strongly recommend this hotel as a comfortable base for enjoying the Lake District.
The only slightly disappointing point was that we were not informed...
