「Location and overall appeal of the hotel is great. Some staff are really good and helpful. Most are courteous but the language barrier makes it super hard at times. Front desk was the worst and there was a huge gap in requests made to them and getting those executed by the staff. Cleanliness needs a WHOLE LOT to be improved on. In every room and every aspect of bathrooms. 」

「The location is awesome. The rooms are well designed and at a high quality standard (e.g. marble tiles in the bathroom. Bidet..) Bungalow with sea view - unbeatable. The location is not directly at the beach, but at an elevated location inside a forest area. So the view is incredible and super quiet. No street noise or smoke. Instead one can enjoy nature sound, birds, butterflies, some monekys climbing the trees and sometimes leguans and view at the sea the same time.The staff is very friendly....

Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. 「Great location far enough away from Mirissa. Peaceful and welcoming staff. Difficult to find a spot to swim in the ocean but possible to take a dip. Hotel pool wasn’t cleaned early enough for us to swim one morning (not open until after 8). Sri Lankan brekkie available as well as eggs and Gandon’s style, serving sizes were very generous. 」

「Thambilli House was just terrific, rooms, staff, open areas, pool and location ideal for a Galle Fort visit. This was our 3rd stay at The Fort and by far the best accommodation so far. Only surprise was that the room did not have a bar fridge, quite unusual from our perspective.」

「Ett hotell som kunde varit ett litet paradis lyvärr stämde iångt från vägar och byar men bilderna stämde inte alls överens med verkligenheten. Det är ett nedgånget och slitet hotell där rummet vi fick hade stått oanvänt i månader. Vi fick be dem komma och ta bort spindel och spindelnät från sängen och att städa hela badrummet. Utomhus ser det ut som hotellet inte varit omskött på flera år. Dock får man ge den lilla poolen ett plus i kanten.」
