"Smashing relaxed hotel. Easy parking outside and was a breeze to check in with lovely staff Room was lovely, comfortable with a great view. Dinner was amazing and the menu extensive. Staff again were great and speedy service. Some good beers on tap too Breakfast was amazing! I will definitely be back "

"We only stayed for 1 night after a day at Howletts but the staff were fantastic. It was our son’s 11th birthday and they really made him feel special. Thank you ☺️ Lovely family room, view of the sea, really nice dinner and absolutely superb breakfast. We walked into Whitstable along the seafront. Really great stay "

"You’ll never have a more higgledy piggeldy experience with a hotel than this one. But oh how it’s worth it! The buildings were built in perhaps the 1200’s, so the floors are very uneven. The rooms and baths are comfortable, the porridge for breakfast delicious and the location unbeatable. The staff couldn’t be more helpful. In short we loved it. "

"Very pleasant stay, staff very helpful.. only negative was my pint did not taste very nice and was cloudy, when I said about it I was sold a new one and told it’s because of the bubbles .. Could have just replaced it as the new one was not cloudy at all and tasted completely fine"

"In general very good. The double bed was made of two single mattresses which was not comfortable. The shower had attachments missing but worked ok. Staff were friendly and attentive."

"Service excellent, bed comfy, room nice, selection of hot and cold dishes at breakfast, in good location, 15 mins walk to the Shivering Sands brewery where we enjoyed some great beers, and 20 mins walk to Minster Village for the best fish and chips restaurant. A minor is that the grounds could be nicer, as they look like they could do with some weeding and clipping "

"The staff went above and beyond, they were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel exterior is stunning and the room was exactly what we needed. An easy 15 minute walk to the city center. We will definitely come back next time we go to Canterbury!"
