"It’s a two star room with a five star property and experience! What an interesting historical site and true family owned business experience. An idiosyncratic sight around every corner, and the ghost town has a massive pile of fascinating antiques, the roundhouse full of old train cars worth the half price admission when you book at the hotel. I wouldn’t get the train as an extra though. The food at the hotel is also two star but affordable and gets the job done.
Overall, a truly one of a kind place and worth it as a museum of Trans Canada’s past. "
"This is hotel w best view location, who's seeking calm environment and peaceful natural environment! Room w fire place loacated 10 feet away from most beautiful Emerald lake site area. Every staff were so nice and professional. Our family love it! We highly recommend for anyone! "
"I was surprised by the cleanliness of our room. Bed was comfortable and the room air conditioner kept the room cold, especially with how hot it was outside. The room had a weird layout with the only sink being located in front of the beds instead of the washroom. Staff were friendly and were accommodating. Pool looked to be decent but small. I found it to be very crowded. Lots of parking spaces which is nice.
Options for the complimentary breakfast were lacking. Just your basic cereal, muffins, toast, pancakes, boiled eggs and bacon. There was also yogurt and maybe a protein bar. In terms of drinks, there was coffee and juice provided.
I would however stay away from the boiled eggs. Myself and my friends had an upset stomach after eating them and we found ourselves on the toilet multiple times.
All in all, the place was decent. I found it to be very clean and comfortable to stay in."
" Very nice hotel one complaint, the “hot breakfast” was not celiac friendly. The eggs were the only thing I could have. Neither the sausage or hashbrowns were safe. ( Kudos to the lady that knew)"
