Very nice little hotel. Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. My room was just what I was hoping for. Clean, quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast which was included was delicious. The food was fresh and so many tasty choices. If you love breakfast then you’ll love the Thon Hotel Europa.

We were disappointed with our stay. When we arrived after a long travel from Chicago, we were informed that there was a strike so services were radically reduced (no room cleaning, no secure luggage storage, reduced restaurant,bar service, no room service). Also the gym was closed for renovations. We understand the strike was out of their control but we asked from some compensation for the reduced services (restaurant credit, reduced rate, etc) and were offered 2 small pieces of chocolate. We were told that's the best they could do.

This hotel is in a great location in Oslo. It is just a few minutes away from many attractions in the city center, such as the Munch Museum and Opera House. There is a tram station right next to the hotel that takes you many places around the city. There are plenty of good resturants, cafes, as well as grocery stores for different food options. My room was very clean and organized (the light switches are a bit complicated but once you figure out, it's all good). The hotel serves excellent breakfast in the morning (along with a cafe bar where you can find many espresso and coffee drinks made by a barista). i highly recommend it to anyone visiting Oslo.

Outstanding hotel. The dinning options were excellent for someone who eats gluten free.

Excellent breakfast. Downside of stay: staff on strike so room never cleaned.
