Staff was super friendly! The place does need more trams as the property is very big and it takes 20-30 minutes to get to the Hotel for the restaurants.

The room in building 8 2nd floor has a mildew smell by the bed. The bathroom at night had a sewage smell. Had to wait 6 hrs for bottled water. The language barrier was also a problem. Room service meals after breakfast is horrible. Maid service came one afternoon before we left to go out, and when we returned later that afternoon, we noticed the came again while we were gone. Upon checkout I mentioned a few issues, and was given a document for a free upgrade on the next booking. Needless to say I won’t be returning. For the cost paid it wasn’t worth the time or money. They really need to deal with the mildew/mold.

My experience at Bahia was okay overall, but there were a few things that really disappointed me. Unfortunately, several staff members had poor attitudes toward me. I’m Hispanic, and whenever someone asked if I was Dominican and I said no, their interest in talking to me seemed to disappear — they would just turn their attention to my friends instead. It was uncomfortable and felt strange. Another major issue was the water. Some days the showers were ice cold, other days extremely hot, and at times the water even came out brown with an unpleasant smell. It made basic things like showering or brushing my teeth pretty frustrating. There were a few other minor inconveniences, but overall, I don’t think I’ll be returning to the Dominican Republic. I’ve had much better experiences in Jamaica for the same price.

The resort area was very clean, the room was very clean the bed they could change the sheets little bit more often our where looking old already. My only complain was that not much entertainment for adults it is more tailored for families and the front staff need better training in educating clients what the hotels offer we wasted so much time trying to figure out what to do and wat resorts offered what activities. Also when you book through Expedia for whatever reason the communication between Expedia and the resort is nonexistent they did not even know I had an upgrade or anything. We didn’t get in. The water was cool and it rained during our stay. The property is very nice. Edward, our butler was great and the spa was fantastic. Our room was nice but could definitely use a more comfortable mattress. The resort is a travel club resort, so be prepared for a presentation.
