Vancouver Coast Pet-friendly Vacations

The hotel is perfectly situated for Vancouver adventures, the amenities are fantastic and every member of staff we interacted with were lovely. Can’t rate highly enough.

Very well located in the Yaletown neighborhood near many restaurants and the water boats, easy ride to the airport and other places worth visiting in Vancouver. Clean and spacious room and not noisy.

The hotel is a beautiful, historic building, however, some elements are dated and not reflective of its once grand style i.e. bath tub in need of glazing and carpet in need of steam cleaning. The value was not present. Having stayed in the Royal York (Toronto) and the Chateau Frontenac (Quebec) the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver is not a hotel I will stay at as a repeat guest. There are other luxury hotel options to choose from that will be considered in future stays. The check in experience was very poor. Having travelled from across the country there was no effort made to accommodate an early check in despite being told our room would be ready. Travelling with two children and having to wait 3 1/2 hours in the lobby was not acceptable. The room was not equipped with the amenities I am accustom to at a Fairmont. Eg. snacks were limited to a small bag of potato chips and a bag of stale gummies. Overall, the experience was disappointing and we will not be returning.

The staff was so attentive to our needs, holding our bags with early arrival, directions to places we wanted to visit, and other miscellaneous requests.
