Mont Shefford Pet-friendly Vacations

The layout was very nice and it was in a very walkable area. However, the property wasn't secure. The door was left unlocked and that was a little unsettling. The place was spacious and fit me and my family very well. However, I'd read on previous ratings that the owner doesn't answer. The owner didn't answer any of my messages prior to the trip or during. I thought that was odd. For example, it would've been helpful to know what we do with the towels when leaving or if we were required to strip the beds. Also please have someone fix the door lock, it's a little loose and janky. Other than that it was a good place

Very disappointing stay — not the 4-star experience advertised My stay at The Alexander Hotel – Old Montreal was extremely disappointing. The room was not properly maintained or cleaned, including blood on the sheets and a burnt-out light bulb that I had to replace myself. More concerning, while I was away, housekeeping moved my luggage and personal belongings out of the room after the hotel had refused my request to remain in the same room. This was unacceptable and made me very uncomfortable. I raised these issues with the hotel, but I felt the response did not adequately reflect the seriousness of what happened. Given the condition of the room and how my belongings were handled, I expected much better from a property marketed as a 4-star hotel. I would not recommend this hotel based on my experience. I asked for compensation for all my troubles they haven’t rectified anything - even the request from expedia they denied. - terrible hotel

Such a beautiful property with amazing amenities! Right in the middle of the action in Old Montreal!
