This is a great location walking to Temples, restaurants and shopping. I won ever stay in a different location. Staff accommodating, and rooms clean. Amenities worth it!

Great hotel for families. We booked a grand family room for our family with two young kids. The hotel was fantastic, large room, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Having the separate bedroom was great so kids could sleep early in the room. Location is great only about 10 min walk to Namba station.

Spacious, clean room and great service. There was a bar but we didn't utilise this. Good location for shopping and food in Kyoto too!

This was an excellent hotel. The room was exccellent and the property was outstanding. Most importantly the staff was wonderful. Well located between two metro stations, I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN DEFINITELY.

Overall, this is a classic five-star hotel with solid standards. Facilities are comprehensive, most staff are polite and attentive, and the rooms are clean and well maintained. However, we experienced a significant issue during our stay. Guests in the adjacent room frequently kept their door open and were traveling with a young child. There was constant loud talking, door slamming, and noise from the child. As we were staying on an executive floor, this level of disturbance was unexpected and unacceptable. After enduring this for two nights, we requested a room change. The hotel responded promptly and moved us farther away, which we appreciated. While the issue was resolved, it raises concerns about how the hotel manages guest behavior on executive floors. This is not about whether children are allowed, but about ensuring guests are clearly reminded not to disturb others—something expected at a five-star level. Another disappointment was breakfast on our final day. My husband requested an extra coffee, which was acknowledged but then forgotten as the staff member attended to others. By the time it arrived, we had to leave for our flight. Her attitude also felt cold, which contrasted with the generally excellent service we experienced elsewhere in Japan. Overall, a good hotel, but these service lapses affected our experience.

The hotel’s attention to sensory detail extended far beyond the room. A highlight of the stay was the geisha tea experience—graceful, intimate, and deeply rooted in tradition. It offered a rare glimpse into Kyoto’s cultural artistry. This is not just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel, to slow down, and to notice. Every detail, no matter how small, is considered. And that’s what makes it unforgettable.
