Beautiful property, nice rooms, great breakfast and close to center

Clean room. Great bathroom. Location is great. It’s a classic hotel.

It’s a clean hotel and staff are polite. The rooms are comfortable enough. This however didn’t feel stylish or remotely luxurious so I’m wondering why it’s classed as 4 star?

The rooms are perfectly set up, especially for a slightly longer stay where the extra amenities and space make a real difference. I stayed in a Deluxe Room with balcony: it had everything I needed and was clean, comfortable and spacious. It was great to have the extra living space (kitchen, table and lounge area) and the kitchen was well fitted out. The bathroom was great with a walk in shower/rainfall shower head. Location-wise: you are on the same road as some great restaurant, boulangerie and patisserie options ; the key areas of Old Town, Castle Hill, harbour and east end of the Prom are just minutes away (which were the spots I visited most frequently) ; and most other key locations are accessible by a max. 15–30 minute walk. Bus and train stations for day trips are within 15 minutes walk and the closest tram is one minute up the road. The restaurant was a great spot for breakfast with plenty of good quality options. I have to specifically mention the staff who were, without exception, incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. In summary: the hotel, rooms, restaurant and staff were lovely and it made for the perfect base in Nice. I will definitely stay here again when I return to the area (and next time will try the cinema and spa!).

Great location if headed to the airport—only about a 15 minute drive. The hotel room was spacious and clean with amenities in the bathroom and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again!

Le Negresco is one of the finest hotels in which I’ve stayed. It is stunningly beautiful and unique, and the service is impeccable. I will definitely return again.

The location was great. It’s in the center of Venice. We took ferry. Is the second stop at the airport it’s about 10 minutes walk. There’s a lot of stairs to go up and down to get to the hotel so just be careful with that. If you are unable to do stairs, don’t go to Venice. Back to the hotel there’s a tall stairs to go into the reception. There is a wheelchair but there isn’t an elevator. The bathrooms smell a little bit, but I’m not sure if that’s because it’s Venice, but it was clean. Also the AC wasn’t working because the receptionist said the town obligates them to shut the AC off at certain month. I went on November month so there was no AC, but she gave us a fan.
