The staff members were all very friendly, professional, and helpful. The room was clean and mattress was comfortable.
Be warned - There is no fitness room. And you can hear *everything going on in neighboring rooms.
There is not much to do near the hotel. But it was pretty easy to use the bus/train system to get around. I walked from Ostia Antica every day too. You can safely walk if you turn down the alley behind the hotel to avoid the stretch of main road that has no sidewalk. I was there for a whole week for a sports event. I recommend the Ostia Antica archeological site! I went into the Rome city center to see all the sites on 3 different days and used the metro. This was a clean, friendly, reasonably priced place to stay. I would stay here again. Quiet and away from the hubbub.

A little to trouble with HVAC and hot water. But they fixed it quickly. Be aware that there is a city tax of 5 € per person per night in addition to what you pay on hotels.com!
