South Central China All inclusive Vacations

We stayed four nights over there and really enjoyed it. The hotel arranged the pick up at the airport and came up with daily sightseeing plans which all worked out very well. The staff (e.g. Robert, Nancy, Michael/Min) were all very helpful and supportive. They answered all our questions and marked the sequence of scenic sites/stops on the map for us. They also helped book all the park and show tickets for us which saved us a lot of time. Overall, it’s a great experience for us. We really appreciated it. Ed and family

Overall, this is a great option for us. The negatives: Our room has mold on the wall, smells a bit like someone smoked in there and the floor boards were not all connected. The pool was beautiful but it had a tarp on so we couldn’t get in. The positives: The room had a panoramic view of the mountains. They provided plenty of bottled water each day. The staff was warm and welcoming. They helped us planned our trip, got tickets, etc. They gave us rides to and from the middle gate (south east gate) of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park which was extremely convenient. They also provided a one way ride either from or to the hotel.They provided free laundry service. (We had a long trip and had loads of laundry.) Their breakfast was great and had a great variety of western and Asian choices. We noticed they specially made soup noodles for customers based on different dietary restrictions. We would stay here again. The customer service was just top notched.

We had a really good time at the hotel, grace and all the staff were so helpful and kind. Very stunning location around the mountains. The shuttle transfer was so easy to arrange thanks to grace. Would highly recommend staying here

I had a wonderful stay at Fungee S in Wulingyuan, Zhangjiajie. The staff is wonderful and always helpful especially the mgr Ms. Zhao. After checking in, she helped me sorted out my tickets to the national park, recommended routes for my sightseeing and the hikes/treks to take. The room is nicely appointed to make you feel right at home. The facilities are well maintained and clean. Heck, they even wash your clothes for free and the daily afternoon tea/cocktail are much appreciated. The breakfast spread is very decent and will fuel your day for the hikes and climbs. Great location, close to lots of local eats and most importantly very close to the East gate entrance to the park. I highly recommend this little gem.

The property is centrally located very close to the East Entrance of the park. It is clean and homey with cats and dogs. The thing that stood out for us was the lovely, helpful staff, especially the delightful Vivi who looked after us like we were family. Nothing was too much trouble, she arranged everything we wanted, bought our tickets, booked any events we wanted to attend, even ordered takeout food and a massage in our rooms. We didn’t need to waste time with the sticky details. We just enjoyed the visits to Tianmenshan park and the Avatar park. She even magically found tickets when everything was sold out on line during a national holiday no one told us about! We love you Vivi!!

Room was big but quite dated. Carpet had holes that were patched by putting cut out squares. It’s a decent stay but not 5 star hotel.

My stay at JW Marriott Hotel Zhengzhou was mixed. There were some genuinely positive aspects, especially the front desk staff and housekeeping team, but there were also several disappointing experiences that affected my overall impression. The first negative impression happened on our arrival day. We had two very large pieces of luggage, and the first thing I remember is that the doorman saw us and seemed to run back into the building instead of helping us. At first, I thought maybe they were not actually hotel staff. But after staying for multiple days, it seemed clear that they were hotel workers. I am still not sure why they reacted that way. Maybe it was because our luggage was oversized, or because we arrived in a dirty cargo vehicle instead of a luxury sedan. A similar situation happened again on another day. My friend and I were in Zhengzhou for some cycling activities, and one day we rode more than 100 km. After such a long ride, we were extremely exhausted. Because it was difficult to find a vehicle that could fit two bicycles, we had to call another cargo van to bring us back to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel entrance, the doorman approached the driver and tried to direct us to the basement for unloading. It did not feel welcoming at all. Since it was already nighttime and we were completely worn out, we really just wanted to get out of the vehicle at the front door and return to our room. Clean but outdated … food no good here
