This hotel was very nice! Much nicer than we were expecting and the staff was very sweet. Rooms were spacious and beautiful.

Beautiful hotel with very nice, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Front desk is unbelievably attentive. The only thing was the gym. Not very nice with minimal equipment. It is crowded with 2 people in it. Needs to be expanded and new equipment for a hotel like this.

Although recently reopening after a refurbishment, the property did not seem especially modernised and the room and public spaces were much the same as our previous visit 10 years ago, albeit with a decade’s more use. The restaurant was incredibly overpriced, although the food was good, but the team were clearly very new and so service was inconsistent and missed bread, amuse bouche etc for some tables; wine list was forgotten and then the wine itself was not poured for 30 minutes until we asked for it to be opened. Those members of the restaurant staff who knew what they were doing were good but half the room of tables were unserved for 20-30 minutes at a time, so more than one table of guests walked out. There are some nice touches like the kids room, bikes and it is great to have some quiet outside space in Venice. The boat service is great fun, although the gaps in the timetable often coincided with our needs to travel back with young children, unfortunately so we spent a lot on water taxis as well. As a summary, the lovely property is let down by inconsistent service still finding its feet after reopening and tired feeling rooms which did not seem to have been refurbished at all, together with a very overpriced restaurant, so not worth the premium price overall.

The hotel is a former Palazzo. Everything about it is impeccable. The staff knows you by name. The food is excellent. The location is perfect, far enough away from the crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance would definitely stay there again when I go back to (Venice)

Overall a very nice hotel. The room was stylish and comfortable, but we'd have preferred more drawer space. Our other grumble is the paper cups for hot drinks.

The hotel is in a great location. The hotel is beautiful. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of food. Unfortunately the noise in the hotel ruined our experience. It sounded like furniture was being moved above and beside us all night. Also they have music playing in the hallways which is nice until you are trying to sleep then it sounds like someone is having a party.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Villa Viridia! As we approached the hotel after walking a short distance from the San Marcuola vaporetto stop, we were pleasantly impressed at how well the outside was maintained with its enclosed courtyard. Inside the lobby, we were also impressed by how beautiful and updated the decor was. At the reception desk, the very friendly staff gave us an area map and highlighted various restaurants and activities we might be interested in. After we checked in, Philipe took our bags to our room and explained the features of the room. The room was also newly updated, nicely decorated, and impeccably clean! If you wanted to open the windows, they were thankfully equipped with screens. The bathroom was beautifully tiled with a nice large shower area and had a toilet with plenty of toilet paper, and a bidet. The room also had a refrigerated cash bar. It had a coffee machine with coffee and bottled water that were complimentary. Another nice amenity was two plush bath robes and soft slippers. Our favorite amenity was the buffet breakfast that was included with the stay. The large buffet area is on the main level. It was stocked with eggs, various meats, yogurts, oatmeal, cereals, fruits, very tasty pastries, you name it... And our breakfast hostess, Irena, was so pleasant, friendly, and attentive! She also made great coffee! We would definitely stay at the Villa Viridia again should we visit Venice in the future!

We spent four nights in a double room with breakfast. Our room was very comfortable and exactly as we would have expected for this hotel. Breakfast was quite good but as a small hotel lacked some of the breadth of options that might be found in larger establishments. The extra charging for egg orders was a shame. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The best thing about the hotel is its excellent location. It is situated on side of the canal in Cannaregio, close to three stops (Tre Archi, Crea, Guglie) that give access to the wonderful vaporetto boats and the Alilaguna to and from the airport. We actually chose to arrive by shared water taxi which delivered us to the Tre Archi stop right outside the hotel. Cannaregio is a great area to stay as it is much quieter than most of the city which remains within easy reach on foot or by boat. The quiet canals to the north of the hotel and the Jewish Ghetto area are a great place for a stroll. If we come back to Venice we almost certainly stay here again.
