Central Oregon Coast All inclusive Vacations

We chose Hotel Deluxe because we love historic boutique hotels, and there were definitely positives. The woman who checked us in was genuinely warm, welcoming, and helpful. Our bedroom and bathroom were clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the online photos didn't accurately reflect our experience. The lobby and guest room were much smaller than expected and appeared much larger in the listing photos. We also booked a room with a sleeper sofa for our daughter, but the slipcover looked worn and not particularly clean, so we didn't feel comfortable using it. While I appreciate the vintage style, historic doesn't have to mean worn. The lamp in the sitting area flickered constantly, and our third-floor windows were completely covered with frosted film, leaving no outside view. There also wasn't an easy way to get luggage into the hotel. Parking was across the street in an open lot rather than a secured garage. Although we didn't have any problems, the area didn't feel especially comfortable when unloading luggage. And we didn't want to leave anything exposed in the car. The combination of these issues led us to check out a day early instead of staying the three nights we had booked. The hotel has character and the staff was kind, but we left feeling that the online photos created expectations the property simply didn't meet.

Not sure how this hotel is considered a luxury hotel other than the price. From the exterior to the furniture choices, it looks like a cool historical apartment building that was remodeled into a hotel in the 90's and not in a funky vintage modern way. I will say the staff was very friendly, the location was conveniently located for us, and the lobby was clean but once you stepped onto the very slow to arrive elevators or onto your floor, the whole place has the musty smell of an old building-maybe nostalgic for some but not pleasant for a hotel. Our room was advertised as having a fireplace but we didn't realize it was a wood burning one! The room smelled overwhelmingly like wood smoke when we arrived-for a minute I thought we had been assigned a smoking room! The built ins, including the bathroom, were all in need of repair (scratches, chips, water damage, etc.). Coffee in the lobby was only out till 10 on the weekend which seemed early for a weekend in Portland-most places at least have water and coffee when you come in. And then there's the $60 valet fee which is ridiculous given there's a pay to park just a few buildings over. They also charged a "resort amenities fee" which is weird since there are no amenities. Overall I would definitely not recommend this place nor stay here again.

At best, this is a 3-star hotel. The rooms were worn, with stained furniture, peeling leather chairs, and a run-down bathroom with a clogged bathtub. The biggest issue was the noise. Ongoing street construction made every passing car sound like a gunshot, making it nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep. Hotel did offer ear plugs and noise canceling machine… Room service is only available in the morning, and there aren't any convenience stores nearby. However, there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, including a good restaurant on the property. Overall, this hotel did not live up to its rating, and I wouldn't stay here again. DO NOT USE THE SELF PARKING LOT NEXT TO HOTEL ON CORNER OF 11th/ALDER! Several cars were broken into when we stayed there on several nights. USE HOTEL VALLET!

Everything was great. But the staff did not follow through on my request for extra coffee in the room, even though they had asked for requests and confirmed they’d take care of it
