Central Singapore Adventure Vacations

When traveling, I always look for a convenient hotel... Location, transit access, food options etc. etc. On the website this looked like it checked off all of the boxes, but once I arrived, I was pulling checks off almost right away. In order to access the reception, you have to go up to the 12th floor. I knew this as it was referenced in the booking, however... here is the actual process. 1. take 1 set of elevators to 12th floor to check in 2. go back to same elevator and take up to 21st floor 3. cross the building on the 21st floor 4. take a second elevator to your floor where your room is located. I don't know who came up with this stupid system, but I hate these types of designs that make you hunt for your room. Restaurant: The all included breakfast was very disappointing. I always look forward to a good breakfast, but this was just a real plain Jane buffet. nothing exceptional - the food wasn't rotted or anything... it was just meh. The room: Good size, but what the heck is up with the sheet metal in front of the window, blocking the view? The room is a bit dated with these dust collecting wood panels inside the room that just shows how old the place is. Would I stay there again... nope. Would I recommend it to someone... nope. The staff were nice, but they don't make up for the inconveniences.

Loved staying One Ferrar, which is close to the Metro, Little India and the City Mall. Shout out to Sella and Devi at reception for making two tired travelers smile with an upgrade to a suite that was a real treat. All the employees were very helpful and efficient. The included breakfast was great for starting the day with a good supply of choices. The giant pool and pool deck was perfect for cooling off and relaxing. There’s even a cold tub next to the hot tubs! Two restaurants are on site and there are many more choices within a short walking distance. Tip for taxi or Grab users: Drivers will ask you for the Postal Code, which is assigned to each building in Singapore; it is the number on the address in the directions of the Hotel.coms website. We enjoyed the Flower Dome with its Lillies show and the restaurant inside, the National Orchid Garden and it’s restaurant as well as the rooftop outdoor bar at the Marina Sands Hotel with its view from 60 floors up!

We had an amazing stay at Fairmont Singapore! Everything was excellent from start to finish. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, and the location is perfect for exploring Singapore. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the service throughout our stay was outstanding. Our room was comfortable and spacious, and everything felt very well taken care of. We really enjoyed our time here and honestly couldn’t find anything to complain about. It was a wonderful experience for the whole family and definitely made our trip to Singapore even more memorable. We would absolutely stay at Fairmont Singapore again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore. 5 stars!

Great facilities. Transfer bus can be a lottery at certain times of the day due to numbers using it. Sunday night at 12am on the ground floor staff from restaurant / hotel making excessive noisy, pushing trolleys over rutted tiled floor, this then started at 4am with what I assume was laundry / food trolleys.

Staff were not only accommodating to our demands but also very friendly and sincere. The rooms were beautiful (architecturally unique too), comfortable, and with flawless hygiene. The shower had great water flow and the bathroom in general was very aesthetic. The location is right outside the bustling Chinatown giving a taste of both the lively streets and the quiet luxury of Singapore. The hotel is also very close to the metro, which is very convenient for transport to the further parts of the city, and a gorgeous little garden with swings to soak up the natural beauty. All in all, could not recommend Amara hotel enough, it was a wonderful stay.
