Nice hotel, close to the strip

Everything was very nice the Riverwalk was only a few steps away I’m definitely going back

First impression is the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. Big downside was the deposit required at check-in - $100/night! Wish I would’ve known that prior to booking. Luckily I was able to cover that, but it’s ridiculous. The guy next to me ended up leaving because he couldn’t afford the deposit. Seriously, it’s more than the room cost! Slow staff service, but friendly. Check-in kiosks don’t work, so you end up having to get in the usually long lines. I switched rooms twice due to a couple of issues, but staff was very nice about it. Renovated rooms were nice and clean. Free parking. Pools were nice enough; and worth paying for reserved seating if you want shade. Overall ok for the week stay, but not sure that I’d pick this hotel again. The smell of cigarettes and outrageous deposit aren’t worth it. You can find a nicer and better place to stay for the price.

We arrived late due to plane delays beyond our control. The desk attendant seemed to make us feel great giving us “a nice room with a partial view of the sphere.” We did not book a room with a view not expected one but we did have a free upgrade through booking. When we got to the room, it was a blocked view of the air units and no sphere. Walking all the way back to the desk, we were greeted by another attendant who was not as pleasant and told us the obvious, that we arrived late and so we got the “last room.” We explained then why bother to tell us about an upgrade or a view if we were just being placed in the worst room left on the lowest floor. After a long day of teaching and traveling and looking forward to the vacation, it was a poor start.
