Great surprise!

The hotel is very conveniently located. It’s 5 minutes away from the train and the tour bus stations and 10 to 15 minutes away from the major attractions. I only used taxis once in hope to see the Golden Temple but be aware that most temples close at 4 PM in Takayama. All the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. I’d say 70 % speak English but have your Google Translate ready to use. Good breakfast. People enjoyed the onsen and told me great things about it. Small bathroom. Daily housekeeping service was impeccable. I would stay here again if I come to Takayama.

Conveniently located near the train station, Kashikojima. The western breakfast was amazing.. the view was stunning. We had our dinner and the Michelin stared French restaurant and the teppanyaki. Both were great. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We will return to this hotel during spring.
