when I got checked in I was told I would only have to pay 477 for resort fees but when I was getting checked in they tried to charge me 675 and when I went to ask the lady was very rude and unhelpful with information, the room was clean but when we got ready to go to bed the sheets had stains and the bed was uncomfortable,has soon as you lay down you sink to the center, for the price I paid felt very over charge for it and then when checking out the lady told me I own 620 for resort fees again and I stated I already paid when I got here and the lady tried to say that we had a 40 dollar bar charge and I know we didnt cause we paid for it with another card and the total was only 29.39 which was some of the worst service I have ever had it took an hour to even get our order taken and it took another 30 minutes to even get the drinks and no they were not busy there was only 4 people waiting and then on top of the the drinks were wrong, I love Hawaii but I felt that this hotel was trying to scam me

Room doesn’t have closet . Very dirty and outdated bed linens and furniture . Housekeeping doesn’t even clean the room . No beach chairs , no umbrella . You only have to rent them for $400 per day or go to other beach rentals near by .

This was an ideal luxury hotel, if you can afford it, you’d be hard pressed to find anything better on the island.

I loved the cultural activities and the hotel itself is lovely, room was quiet and I’m sensitive to these things. I wouldn’t recommend the restaurants, I had a bad experience in one that the management had to resolve, and when I tried to revisit I found the staff (different staff) incredibly rude. I got the impression that service level very much depends on the tip. To be specific about one of the incidents, the restaurant staff were yelling at everyone threatening to have us arrested for watching a 5 min firework display on the packed beach for 4th July a little too close to the diners for their satisfaction. The restaurant staff don’t own the beach and their yelling made the restaurant patrons feel very embarrassed. The resort is so big that you will just feel like a number not a valued guest, but it was a very nice hotel and I would stay there again, I’d just avoid the restaurants as there are other nice places to go where you will feel more welcomed

What I love about this place is its intimate size—only 50 rooms total. That smaller scale means every corner is beautifully maintained, and it never feels crowded or impersonal like some of the bigger resorts nearby. The staff genuinely make you feel at home, from the front desk team who greet you by name, to the maintenance crew keeping everything running smoothly, to housekeeping who take real care with the rooms. You can tell everyone here takes pride in the property. Between the attentive service and the peaceful, boutique feel, this has quickly become one of my favorite places to stay in Hawaii. I'll definitely be back.

staff is 5 stars attentive, from housekeeping, to front desk

First night arriving we had an issue in the room we were assigned, it was brought up to the front desk. The original room had to be shut down and they were wonderful in giving us a different room which turned out to be better than expected. It was our first time in Hawaii and the room upgrade made our experience on the island so much better. Thank you to the staff especially Marissa for the wonderful experience at the resort.
