Just wow! An unforgettable first Dublin experience thanks to Dublin One Hotel! This was my very first time visiting Dublin, and staying at Dublin One Hotel truly made the entire experience unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, comfortable, and completely taken care of. The staff were absolutely incredible — friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home and were always happy to give recommendations, answer questions, or help in any way they could. As a first-time visitor to the city, that meant everything to me. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean, with a great atmosphere and a fantastic location that made exploring Dublin easy and enjoyable. Everything about my stay exceeded expectations, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to this amazing city. If you’re visiting Dublin especially for the first time. I cannot recommend Dublin One Hotel enough. They didn’t just give me a place to stay; they helped make my trip truly special. I will absolutely be back!

The breaker kept popping so the bathroom light would not stay on when in need. Parking was not included nor discussed so it was unknown by us that we had to purchase a parking package u til the day we arrived. Then there were no parking spots available. We spent over $200 in parking to stay there.

Nice room, great location

The hotel looked nice at first glance, however when we got into the room we realised the bed sheets had a stain on it, one of the plugs (only 2 plugs available) didn’t work and the safe didn’t work. We also didn’t have any shower gel in the refilled bottles in the shower only shampoo/conditioner. We did go down to get this resolved and spoke to the manager I believe and he took a note for the room to be refreshed. However when we returned the bedding was flipped over the not see the stain and the other issues were not resolved. The staff were friendly and nice and the lobby of the hotel was nice too. Sadly didn’t get the issues resolved overall.

Breakfast offering was good, but the cooked food was not hot. Asked for eggs Benedict one morning and the eggs were not cooked properly ( snotty inside ). Very expensive in the bar. Had a meal in the dining room and chose a burger which turned out to be raw in the middle. They gave me 10% off but in reality I paid in full as they normally charge a 10% service charge.

The Shelbourne was a delight. The room, the staff, the food, the history and the bars were all first class. This is why she remains “The Grand Dame of St. Stephen’s Green”.
