We stayed in one of the apartments owned and operated by the hotel and loved it! The unit was roomy and had a kitchenette with a fridge, hotplate and Nespresso machine plus dishes and pots and pans, everything you would need to make a meal. It was quiet, private and an excellent location. An excellent choice!

Great location! Beautiful hotel, and staff were very kind.

Good location by the water bus stop on the Grand Canal and thankfully a bit away from the crowds of St. Marco district, which is easy 10-minute walk away. Big room, marble-everywhere bathroom, comfortable bed, strong AC, BUT the carpet in room 101 should have been replaced 10 years ago. Guessing it used be white, but now it is gray-ish and covered in dark stains all over. Oddly, a porter entered the room "to check the minibar inventory" while we were in the room resting in the afternoon. Why the inventory count was not done during the cleaning earlier in the day??... Not a 5-star hotel category.

**Charming historic gem in the heart of Venice** Staying at Hotel Duodo felt like stepping into old Venice. The building is historic and full of character, and the interiors are beautifully decorated with real attention to detail. Every corner feels elegant and warm, exactly what you hope for in a Venetian hotel. The staff were wonderful. They were kind, helpful, and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and they made our stay feel easy and personal. The location is the hotel's biggest strength. Piazza San Marco is just a short walk away, and you're surrounded by shops, cafés, and restaurants. Almost everything we wanted to see was within walking distance, which made exploring the city a pleasure. It's a great base for first-time visitors. A few things to know before booking: breakfast isn't included and costs about €20, so you may prefer to try one of the many cafés nearby. The hotel isn't right at the water taxi stop or the train station, so plan for a walk with your luggage when you arrive. The rooms also don't have blackout curtains or dark blinds, and it gets very bright early in the morning. Light sleepers should bring an eye mask. Overall, Hotel Duodo is a lovely, centrally located hotel with beautiful décor, plenty of charm, and excellent service. The small inconveniences are easy to manage, and I would happily stay here again on my next trip to Venice.

The hotel has a great location if you’re looking for St Mark’s square proximity. Breakfast was nice. Just be aware the hotel has an annex and you may end up there. You leave the hotel, go down a short alley, through a small courtyard to their annex building. The room was ok but we would have preferred the main building. Breakfast is in the real hotel. Also, for those who care, English language tv is scarce and inconsistent.

Absolutely loved the friendly, helpful, thoughtful, professional staff! Our upgraded room was amazing! We loved the breakfast and our dinner at I’m Carrucci. Thank you again for arranging flowers and chocolates for our wedding anniversary and the bubbly too! We can’t recommend your hotel enough! It was the very best stay, indeed!!!
