When I checked in, I told the front desk clerk that I was just in town for work and didn’t particularly care about views and the like. I was there alone. To my surprise, she put me on the top floor in a corner room that had remarkable views overlooking the ocean on 2 sides, with large glass doors that opened to the outside. This setup afforded a “wrap around” balcony, the likes of which I’ve never seen up close. Room had cold water supplied every morning in the fridge and a cute coffee maker with delicious, fresh coffee “packets.” How nice ! I enjoyed my day immensely. Oh. The food in the restaurant was exceptional as well. I had a couple breakfasts while there

What a fantastic hotel! I travelled to Maui with my husband and two children aged 5 & 8. Upton arrival the valet helped with our bags, gave the children and us gorgeous necklaces and check-in was quick! I didn’t like that the room we received was such a stretch to walk to so came back and the really helpful manager, despite being almost at full capacity moved us to a higher room category with a beautiful partial ocean view. Whilst we were there there was rain on and off but the hotel made sure the grounds were scrupulous. We were out exploring a lot but when in the hotel the children loved the soft beach, the pools (they must have gone on the slide 50 times) and making friends with other children. There were art classes on for the children and I got to try my hand at painting turtles and making glass art too! Room service was efficient and the rooms were turned down each day and left so neatly. I love that the Fairmont provide re-usable bottles for the guests vs plastic and there are ice and water dispensers all over the property. You can self park or valet- it’s refreshing that a resort doesn’t charge separate parking fees to self park vs the other four hotels we visited over this trip! I would recommend it fully for those with kids, and those wanting gorgeous suites with space! We would absolutely book here again! Thank you Fairmont your staff were so helpful and made our stay just perfect!

We were upgraded to a deluxe ocean view room. The room and premises were gorgeous. Staff including the cultural activities were top notch we took full advantage of the pool area and water slides. The biggest inconvenience was trying to find a couple of chairs to relax and to keep our stuff while enjoying the pool. So many people reserve seats and don’t use the chairs. It was incredibly frustrating. I knew this from reading the reviews ahead of time and it was still frustrating as we tried to get an early start our second day and were still late to grab chairs. The adult pool is less crowded.

Minimal food options here. But they are remodeling one of the restaurants- maybe check before you commit if that is important to you

For the amount of money I spent on the trip, I felt there should have been some complimentary options. 50$ for the sauna seemed a bit crazy, and paying money for beach chairs. For how pricey the stay was, I expected more from the pools ( more depth, more adult pools ) and more complimentary things.

The hotel provides beach chair, umbrella and boogie board rental with discounts for customers, which is good deal comparing to rent from till on the beach.

The rooms in the rainbow tower were amazing stuff friendly. Everything was nearby breakfast lunch dinner was amazing.
