I recently stayed at Belle Mer Beachfront Apartment and had a truly relaxing and memorable experience. The location is absolutely unbeatable—waking up to the sound of the ocean and stepping straight onto the beach was a highlight every single day. The views from the apartment were stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. It had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen, cozy living area, and a balcony perfect for enjoying the sea breeze. The décor felt modern yet welcoming, creating a peaceful atmosphere throughout. One of the standout aspects was how quiet and serene the surroundings were, making it ideal for a getaway from busy city life. At the same time, it was still conveniently located near cafes, restaurants, and local attractions. Overall, Belle Mer Beachfront Apartment exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable beachfront stay with beautiful views and a calming environment. I would definitely return in the future.

I’m really disappointed to write this because this used to be my favourite place. For the past 6 years, I’ve stayed here twice a year and always looked forward to it. Unfortunately, my last visit and this recent stay have shown a clear decline.I paid over $1000 for 3 nights, and honestly, it was not worth it anymore. The room was smelly, noisy, and poorly maintained. Simple things like the TV remote not even having batteries show a lack of attention to detail. What’s most frustrating is that there have been no upgrades at all—the rooms feel exactly the same as they did 5 years ago, if not worse. Rotorua has always been my getaway to relax, but sadly this hotel no longer provides that experience. It’s disappointing to see such a drop in standards. I won’t be staying here again and will definitely be looking for a better option next time.
