I was told by the property that I will receive a refund for my one night stay. I blank of wood fell from the top of the TV and hit me in the head. It has been 3 days and I’ve not received a refund.

After a long hiatus, the Hunington is back, and thanks to the owners and Ken Faulk, the property is as it was in 1980 but with the addition of a lobby bar and understated elegance in the all new rooms and interiors. The Big Four looks like it was never touched. I never imagined an old hotel that everyone loved could have been brought back so elegantly.

I recommend everyone to book this hotel. Excellent breakfast, clean rooms. Walking distance to almost anywhere, Alcatraz meeting point, Lombard Street, Fisherman’s wharf’s, Ferries wheel.

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly & helpful. The aesthetic of the property in general is where this place really shines as I enjoyed having live plants everywhere including inside the room mixed with the modern boho vibe. The lobby bar area is probably one of the better hotel lobby bar experiences I’ve had as the waitress was incredibly kind, the drinks were fantastic, and the cozy couches and chairs were wonderful to sit on. I will be returning to this hotel.

Clean rooms, heated pool is lovely. The splash pad was out of order during our stay unfortunately. You get a $25 credit to their restaurants every day which sounds nice, but upon checkout you get a “destination fee” which is more than that credit is worth. So your free breakfast isn’t really breakfast…. Annoying charge.
