The room was very clean, Breakfast was not great! There was very little choice, this was the 3rd hotel that I had stayed in during my trip and the worst Breakfast..you had to ask the member if staff for more coffee and it felt like you were imposing on them. The hotel itself is lovely but the area is very rough. Every cafe I went into advised me to put my bag in front of me and look out for pick pockets.

Beautiful, old hotel with a wonderful view of the water. The bedrooms are very large for European hotel bedrooms. Very comfortable for a family.

The check-in process was completely lacking. I stood outside for over an hour emailing calling and trying to get lit in the door. It says the front office is open, but you have to know how to get in the door. Apparently you have to use the keypad and click on one of the options that was available. But nowhere was that in the directions and the phone number to call the reception area was not taking phone calls and no one ever responded to my emails so I spent almost 2 hours standing outside until other people came along and let me in. Absolutely ridiculous!

I truly can’t say more about this Hotel, the staff, the food, the rooms, amenities and of course the views. The kindness and genuine care and willingness to help is unlike anywhere I’ve ever stayed. We were on our honeymoon and they made it memorable and feel like home for the 3 days we were there. I will recommend this hotel and the town of Praiano to anyone looking at the Amalfi Coast. They even gave us an ornament when we left and it warm my heart so much because we collect ornaments for everywhere we visit. 🤗❤️ We will be back one day!!

We had an absolutely amazing time here and definitely plan on coming back. Everything about this hotel was an absolute dream. The staff was fantastic, the location incredible, and the complimentary room upgrade was the icing on the cake. I can’t recommend this place enough!

Stayed 5 nights and expected this to be the relaxing part of our 2 week Italy trip. Unfortunately, it was anything but. Major issues: • Ant infestation: Our room had a sea of ants. We had to stay one night before being moved, and still found ants on the balcony. • Poor housekeeping & room service: Our room wasn’t cleaned despite being out all day with the cleaning sign on. Food orders were wrong, yet we were still charged. Not acceptable with a $20 room service fee. • Water issues: Water randomly stopped running while showering. • Restaurant issues: The rooftop was closed Sunday despite the listed hours. We ate at Lido instead, where my niece got food poisoning. We also ordered medium well steak and received medium rare. • Poor maintenance: Floors and other areas were chipped and not well maintained. • Noise: Extremely loud on weekends. If you’re not partying, expect noise until 2 AM. Pros: • Some staff were very friendly and provided great service. I was happy to tip them. • Beautiful location, which honestly saves this place. For a supposed 4 star hotel and the price, we expected much better. Stay elsewhere in Sorrento!

Our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. After 17 hours of travel by plane, followed by two trains and a bus, we arrived in the evening expecting a clean and functional room. Instead, when I tried to shower, the water wouldn’t drain and immediately backed up with visible scum. It was clear the bathroom had not been properly cleaned or checked before our arrival. The room phone didn’t work, so I had to go to the front desk. Rather than helping, the staff questioned why I was reporting the issue “so late.” I had just arrived—when else could I have reported it? I requested a new room but was refused and told to wait for maintenance the next day. I explained I would be out all day and was not comfortable with someone entering the room while I was away. In an expensive hotel, I should not have to deal with basic plumbing issues at all. The next day, after still being unable to shower—even after a long hike in extreme heat—I again asked for a room change. I was told it was my fault for not scheduling maintenance . A manager later told me it was “not their problem” and even said and texted me I “didn’t have to shower.” When I finally spoke to the manager in person, she was rude, dismissive, and raised her voice at me in front of other guests. She refused any refund and showed no accountability. We were only moved to a different room on the last night, forcing us to repack everything for a very short stay. Overall, this experience was horrible !
