Cairns Beaches Romantic Vacations

What a sensational resort! The location was amazing with the beach just over the road. The bars and restaurants were within a very short walk but we didn’t hear a thing from these locations at night. The pool area and gardens were beautiful. My only concern was with the servicing of the room. We stayed for 3 weeks and while the towels and linen were changed weekly, the bathroom, kitchen, floors and toilets were not cleaned in that time. There were no cleaning products left in the rooms so I couldn’t do it myself. It was the only disappointment as the rest of the accommodation was wonderful.

We have stayed at Reef House several times and parts of it are starting to look a little tired. The tracks for the sliding doors - to balcony, bathroom and cupboards- need servicing or replacing. Geneeal maintenance is lacking in parts. Having recently stayed at a newly refurbushed hotel at Noosa this would probably be our preferencecrather than returing to Reef Housre

Excellent place, quiet area fantastic location

Nice view of the rainforest from the veranda. Easy late check in. Nice local market to purchase food to self prepare. Nice kitchen.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Plaza Hotel in Cairns! The location was fantastic — Muddies was right across the street and had really good food, and we were within easy walking distance of just about everything. We had a beautiful water view from our balcony, and one of our favorite surprises was being able to watch the flying foxes come in every evening — there were thousands of them! It was such a unique experience and something we looked forward to each night. The building also has a very nice laundry room, which was extremely convenient for travelers. The pier where you catch the boats to the Outer Reef is about a 15-minute walk away, making it easy to get out for reef excursions. Overall, we loved the location, the views, the convenience, and the little extras that made our stay special. We would definitely stay here again when we return to Cairns!

Excellent for a family who have been travelling, being able to do laundry and have some down time in the evenings. Location was a bit of a walk, but it helped to get our steps up.

Beautiful resort at beautiful Palm Cove. Great location. Three great swimming pools. Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff made us feel very welcome. 30 minute trip into Cairns. Car is handy to have, otherwise the local bus service.
