Mare Island Pet-friendly Vacations

Great location. Amenities quality was good.

Hotel Shattuck Plaza is perfectly located for a visit to UC Berkeley, less than a block away. I found everything about the hotel appealing, a nice mix of historic and modern. We had a fanaastic view from our room of the SF skyline and the golden gate bridge! The standout at the hotel was the staff. I especailly appreciate the young lady who checked us in, she made it so seemless and made sure the valet took care of our car, then greeted me by name throughout our stay. Looking forward to being a regular customer here when we come up to visit our daugther at college.

Rooms were coma, well decorated and cozy. Staff were very nice and hospitable. This was a luxury establishment without steep pricing. Food from the kitchen was great as well! Lots of fun breweries in the immediate area as well!

Room was nice and clean. Continental breakfast was very good.. Included boiled eggs, waffles, danish, oatmeal, yogurt, cottage cheese, breads. Better than most continental breakfasts. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go to the pool. The place is a bit dated, BUT, that is not a bad thing. It gives this place some charm and identity, nut like most of the new hotels which are large boxes.
