The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff are helpful, and the breakfast is excellent; the hotel is ideally located right next to Bergen train station, and the city center is just a 10-minute walk away.

This hotel is a “home style” accommodation. Breakfast and dinner is buffet style, bus your own table, dinners were very basic and simple meals..soup,paste,bread,salad. In 5 days , our room was never cleaned. We got our own towels off a cart that was left in the hallway. The best amenity was at teatime, excellent cake and tea..all self serve.

The location was great for getting on the train to Oslo early this morning. But the carpet and upholstery were stained (and older) and the door lock was difficult. The noise was bothersome 1) street cars (not great insulation, older hotel) 2) A repetitive thumping we believe was from exercise facility from 10:30 PM woke us up 3 Loud young adults returned to hotel from a night on the town, keeping us up until 1:30 AM Management quieted them after we complained.
