The place looks a residential house and the door is locked and you need to call some to open it. So I left as I didn't have a way to call the hotel.

Paid £220 for a room on Saturday. They had a large wedding taking place so the place was packed with guests and you could not use the patio etc, car park was crowded. Breakfast took 40 minutes to be served, the food was cold and service was poor. The hotel needs to tell you if weddings are occurring as it ruins the experience for other guests. Not recommended.

Very comfortable beds and a great price. I’ve stayed twice now and enjoyed myself each time. Delicious affordable breakfast too.

Interesting building and good value for money

This hotel is the old Ibis hotel. I thought it had had a bit of a refurb but it seems it is more of a makeover on top of the existing decor so it isn't as pretty as it looks online. The reception area looks okay though, my issue is with the hallway (1st floor) and bedroom, the carpet is old and smelly. I'm not sure if my room was damp or musty but it was pretty grim, I slept with the window open. In hindsight, should have complained, got a refund and stayed somewhere. Towels and bed sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean and the shower was good but would not walk bare foot on the carpet in the bedroom - yuck! I have stayed in lots of hotels in Manchester and sorry to say, this is the worst one. £2 to leave bags at the hotel the following day, didn't need this but just for info.
