Amazing hotel great location helpful staff

Our second stay at this hotel — enjoyed it both times. Highly recommend it. Attractive and comfortable room, very helpful and friendly front desk staff — helped me practice my Italian — non-judgmental and also knowledgeable with recommendations and directions. Varied and excellent breakfast options. I really like staying in the Zattere, where there’s enough space to walk along the Giudecca canal and doesn’t feel congested.

The air conditioning is centrally controlled by the front desk. You must ask them to turn it on and adjust the temp.

The place was amazing!! I wish I had stayed there for more days. A real palace!!

We stayed here for 3 nights in May as part of our Italian vacation. Location is good- quiet and outside of the super busy spots but close enough to walk where you want to go in a few minutes. The building is very old, but restored nicely and well maintained. Definitely old world and not modern. We were in the red room which was not our taste, but was clean and well appointed. Except the blow dryer which barely blew a warm breeze of air. Breakfast had a good variety and the staff were very responsive. Scrambled eggs were the best we had on our weeks long trip, but wished there was a made-to-order option for fried eggs. If there was, this wasn't communicated. Easy water taxi to the airport- though not cheap!

Lovely hotel in quiet but convenient location with shuttle boat directly from hotel dock to Piazza San Marco (every half hour or so) for a very reasonable additional fee. You’ll also find many excellent restaurants within a short walk on Giudecca. Hotel breakfast is excellent, dinner not so much, especially in the Rialto, which is not of the same caliber as surrounding options. (Don’t bother with the meal plan beyond breakfast. You will regret it!). The staff is wonderful, efficient and always helpful, which made for a very pleasant stay. There is also public transportation between airport and hotel for €18 per person, which is considerably less expensive but much longer, than private transportation. (An hour and a half with no restrooms on board… definitely something to think about.) All in all I can recommend this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.
