I consider my review to be as objective as possible, as I am an experienced traveler. What can I say about the hotel? If you are looking for peace, privacy, decent à la carte food (no buffet), and wonderful, attentive staff, then this hotel is definitely for you. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and surrounded by lush greenery. You literally live in the middle of the jungle — among palm trees, vines, and many interesting animals that do not disturb you at all, so there is no need to be afraid. Yes, there is a pond with crocodiles on the property, but during our 10-day stay we saw a crocodile only once. Rather than being a downside, it adds a sense of exotic adventure and variety to the experience. As for the downsides: if you have mobility issues, a disability, or are traveling with elderly people, you should carefully consider whether this hotel is suitable for you. The hotel is not equipped with ramps. To access one of the restaurants for dinner, you must climb three flights of stairs — there is no elevator or alternative access. The restaurant is located on the second floor. The same applies to access to the beach and the swimming pool, both of which require using stairs. This was quite challenging for my husband (who uses a walker) and for my elderly parents. That said, the staff are very kind and helpful and will assist whenever possible. I would also like to mention some inconveniences for guests traveling with pets. We stayed with our small 4 kg poodle. Although th

The food options were so-so. The buffet was often not well stocked (mostly in the evening). Some of the staff at the buffet were unprofessional - the woman on the grill on new year;s day spent most of her time talking to Spanish speaking guests and wasn't paying attention to her cooking and ruined some beautiful seafood (burnt on one side raw on the other). One of the hostesses was on her phone when I came in and ignored my hello and didn't engage with me. Personal phones should not be allowed on the floor, But a big shout out to Alejandro in the Italian restaurant for his professionalism, great

What we liked: *The pool and beach areas had great, attentive service. *Each day, there is a different grill option on the beach which is some of the best food we had the resort. *The bike tour was surprisingly good. It's a 90 minute tour on flat ground with a few different stops in the surrounding area. *The kayak tour and paddle board tours were okay. If you like water sports, this is likely not the resort for you. There are restrictions on when you can use those amenities & booking is competitive. What we disliked: *The check-in process was frustrating. We arrived 30 minutes before 3:00 pm. Waiting would have been no problem, but we were bombarded by staff trying to sell us invitations to timeshare events, spa services, etc. Not one staff member asked, "What would you like to do this week?" If they had, we likely would have gotten answers to questions we had later on. *We were locked out of our room twice during the stay. The first time was a night because the room door did not want to communicate with the app they provide for access. It took several technicians and security to resolve the issue. The second time was at check out. Check out is at 12:00 pm, but they don't tell you that your app will deactivate at 11:30 am. We planned to stop in our room once more right before check out to freshen up and could not get into our room. We had to find someone to let us in and almost missed our airport pickup. *Food ranged from okay to very good. Nothing was amazing.

The property is immaculate. The staff go above and beyond for you, and do it with a smile on their face. Honestly do not have one negative thing to say about the entire resort, other than the gym. Gym needs to be bigger and better.

Room: Very clean. Our room gets cleaned and tidied everyday. I didn't get their names but we are in room 2601. Staff: Amazing! Viri from daily activities, amazing. Antonio from pool bar, amazing! Would be nice to have a better nightly entertainment. Pool: would be nice to have a hot tub. It was a great experience overall!! I have no regrets booking this place. Although you may want to reconsider the free tours you offer your guests. We were forgotten, claiming the driver had a minor accident. Although when we complained to the driver of another group, miraculously our pick up was just 5 minutes away. We waited for more than an hour for our ride back to the hotel.
