Clean room, exactly as advertised, perfect for both short and long stays. Good location

Service was good, the man on reception was great , Nice and central. The only thing was that cleaning could have been just a little better.

The corners of the shower box were a bit dirty but everything else was great

Only one night, but a short walk from the Christchurch airport. Very clean comfortable room and polite staff.

The first thing when I walked into the room was the smell, the moldy smell with the very dirty carpet made me feel anxious and I was scared that the bed was going to be just as bad. The wall had a loose flap hanging and the shower was definitely not clean. I couldn't sleep because of the constant noise and people talking. I will think twice before I book a room again.

What a fantastic stay at The George! The room was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I especially appreciated the gluten-free options available, which made my stay much easier and more enjoyable. Having access to a laundry room was another great convenience during my travels. The location is perfect for walking, with wonderful paths and beautiful surroundings to explore. The gym is excellent and well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with my routine while away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special thank you for the sweet little teddy bear left to take care of guests at night—it was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch that made me smile. I highly recommend The George and would happily stay here again!
