Mexico Beach Vacations

Hotel needs more exciting entertainment and also more dinner restaurants. Service was great all around the resort. They did have a few meals that you would have to pay a premium for like steak. Edwardo and Caesar were great bartenders at the swim up bar in phase 1.

All was good, except things we left on the beach while swimming in the sea were stolen, and the football my son forgot at the pool was never found. The Security staff couldn’t be helpful because they did not speak English at all. Also, there was a construction going on right across from our room, it was very loud. While you are on vacation and trying to relax that was very inconvenient and disturbing.

Wasn’t given upgraded room like VIP Access Hotels normally do (cost me an extra $600), when I searched for the hotel I had “all inclusive only” selected but this place is only PARTIALLY all inclusive (was an extra $900 if I wanted to do it), the “penthouse” I upgraded too has ZERO sound insulation so you can’t sleep because they party until 2am (not kidding) right outside the room, it was not airtight so I got stung by mosquitoes virtually every night, and they wouldn’t let me cancel. Additionally their ad says “hot tub on site” which is false advertising because there is NOT (it’s a jetted tub that’s the same temperature as the pool).

Our stay at the Riu Palace Peninsula was nothing short of amazing! The food was incredible — from the endless buffets to the gourmet à la carte restaurants, every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The service was exceptional throughout our stay; every staff member greeted us with genuine warmth and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The team here truly defines what five-star hospitality should be! Whether relaxing by the pool, enjoying beachside drinks, or indulging in the incredible variety of dining options, every moment felt like paradise. We can’t wait to come back — highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Cancun! 🌅🍹🇲🇽

Room was clean and comfortable, staff very friendly and willing to serve all the time, restaurants very good.

Our room was upgraded…. I love the fact that we had a good view of the pool and beach. Waking up to the sun raise was a good one. However when the power was out and I got back from my vacation the staff approach and Expedia’s approach was terrible. Overall we had fun apart from the power outage for over 12 hours.
