The South All inclusive Vacations

The first time my family and I visited the property we enjoyed it. However this visit wasn’t as appealing. We checked into the hotel with a polite front desk staff member but then when sent to the Mobile Check In counter we were rudely made to feel bad about not attending a morning sales pitch breakfast. On our vacation the last thing we wanted to do was sit through a time share pitch we had zero interest in. Then as we went up to our room the main lobby elevator took a very long time to work because 1 of the 2 sides was broken so it caused a major delay and continued to do so the entire visit. When we got to our room, we wanted to store our cash and travel documents in the safe but it was broken. That was very disappointing! Lastly, the shower in room had a very leaky faucet and was incredibly difficult to turn on. When it was turned on, there was next to no water pressure. Very unacceptable! Besides the advantage of the hotel being near the beach, the actual building needs major repairs in order to gain our business back.

Traveling as a family of six— four kids (ages 10, 8, 6 and 4) requires certain things. I’ll list the pros and cons of this resort. Pros— we went with the two bedroom villa, which was enough space for all of us. Two bathrooms and four separate beds plus the kitchenette. We loaded up with snacks and drinks doing a Walmart pickup and brought those down to the beach. Lots of different family friend food options on property too. There were fun activities on the property (different pools, DJ at the pool, foam party, night movie at the pool, ping pong table and small arcade). A quick walk to the beach was nice, and having the staff help with the umbrellas was nice. Cons— we chose this property with the appeal of the floating obstacle course in the ocean. My kids were so excited to do this! We get to the property and come to find out it’s only set out on Sundays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. We were there on Wednesday, and come to find out it’s $40 per person to do it. Okay, let’s do it. We get our reservation you’re allowed a one hour time slot) and then there’s thunder 10 miles away, so they pull the inflatables and our reservation is cancelled. Okay. The thunder clears out after 45 minutes, but no, the obstacle course is pulled for the day. Really disappointed by that. Misleading advertisement. Also, did not note the $55 daily resort fee and $25 daily parking fee. It added up quick! We arrived at 345, hoping to check in at 4:00 and got the call at 6:30 that it was finally ready

The room and balcony was very clean and housekeeping was very good. However the front desk staff are idiots and don’t show good customer service. They didn’t explain that you use your room card to get in and out of the garage. They weren’t friendly and just had an attitude like they didn’t care. It wasn’t a good experience when we first arrived. The valet guy didn’t speak he just told us he needed our car key while we check in. He didn’t explain why just demanded we give him our keys. They all need training on customer service and how to properly communicate. The first impression was very unwelcoming and weird
