Edinburgh City Centre5 nights4.0 star property9.2/10 - Wonderful (1,002 reviews)"This is our third time staying at the Scotsman. This time we selected a director room with city view, we stayed in room 702, it had wonderful views and a dining table surrounded by windows. We also chose to include breakfast, which I would also recommend considering. We have stayed in hotels in "new town" before also, but it wasn't the same. Different atmosphere and not as walkable. Staff are extremely helpful."Reviewed November 6, 2026Roundtrip • Osaka (KIX) - Edinburgh (EDI)KIX - EDI • 1 stop EDI - KIX • 1 stop￥544,254￥368,201found 15 hours agoper traveler - Livingston Lodge Hotel

"Beautiful grounds and well worth a stay. Very good breakfast"
Meikleour Arms Hotel and Restaurant
Meikleour Arms Hotel and Restaurant"We had to change rooms for the second night due how I booked the 2 night stay at the last minute - my fault. But must admit I was glad to move as the first night in the cottage across the car park was very noisy with unhappy guests (one off ? ) and banging doors (big sign on door - so regular occurrence?) ! Spent next night over the bar - I used earplugs! Some of the staff were delightful but unfortunately my first encounter was a French lady in the bar who was obtuse to say the least. I...
"I recommend upgrading to a superior room for a much more luxurious space and nice view. I had a lovely room and excellent view of the front lawn. My friend who had a regular room had an okay room with a view of the back parking lot! It’s a beautiful historic property and stunning location on the river, so might as well make the most of your stay! Don’t expect much from the “spa” treatment. It was nothing special and very expensive given the circumstances. The pool area was nice but a bit...
"This hotel was better than I ever expected. Modern decor inside and very helpful staff."
"Wonderful experience"
