Highly recommended!!! The views from this hotel are breathtaking. The front desk girls are super helpful and friendly really best attitude! they assisted as with everything we needed from scheduling transfers to and from Amalfi to booking Ferry trips to Positano. The owner is always on premises and you can definitely notice it since he will make sure you are well taken care of. Food at the restaurant is awesome while enjoying panoramic views. If you are considering it… don’t wait and book it you will not be disappointed on the contrary will be surprised.

We booked a sea view room, and while we definitely had a sea view (which was dreamy) we were close to the central building which means we couldn’t see positano from our room. However this was made up for by the views from the rooftop and the restaurant where we had breakfast. The breakfast was a little underwhelming, and staff weren’t forthcoming with whether you could order eggs or other options not on the buffet. But in the scheme of things these were minor points. Staff were fantastic, location was great, spending a few hours recovering at the rooftop pool after walking the Path of the Gods was greatly appreciated. 100% recommend this hotel, and Praiano…a much quieter but equally as spectacular location as Positano.

Overall the rooms are a little dated and more like a 3-star hotel but the view and location is 5-star so it nets out as a 4-star visit for me. We had two rooms as we are a family of six. Worked well for us- if it was just my wife and I, a nicer hotel would be needed. We had drinks at the pool along with a very tasty sandwich. Also enjoyed drinks at the bar with the amazing view. Took the bus to Amalfi for 1.5 euros and the hotel sells tickets. The station is only 2 blocks from the hotel so very convenient. Figuring out the bus back in Amalfi was not easy. You can book a private van but they sell out so would recommend booking before you go. We also had a car and drove to Sorrento- don’t recommend. It’s a very tight winding 2 lane road with many blind curves. Should have used the ferry from Amalfi but it was an experience I won’t forget!! Had dinner 3 nights in Amalfi- all good. Very laid back town for early July- highly recommend Palazzo Della Mara trattoria. The best meal we had by far. Ravello is a wonderful town that doesn’t feel as touristy as Amalfi and still has more of a town feel that Maiori.

A truly magnificent one of a kind property overlooking Amalfi port and coast. The medieval monastery setting and the modern hotel amenities blend in very nicely. It’s probably also the largest property, at least from what we saw in amalfi or positano. Couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else.
