We upgraded our room to a ground floor interconnecting room as the family room was pretty run down. So glad we did and it had 3 toilets in total. We love the pool as it’s less busy and has well shaded parts. The resort also offered one of the best detox lymphatic massages I’ve had. It was a well balanced treatment with a mix of lymph drainage and gentle Balinese massage.

Our stay at The Lokha Ubud Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical. We stayed in a valley view room and waking up to the peaceful sounds of the river flowing below was incredibly serene. The setting is absolutely beautiful — surrounded by lush greenery and nature, it felt like a true escape. The staff were exceptional — warm, attentive, and always smiling. The breakfast buffet was generous and delicious each morning, with plenty of options to enjoy. The complimentary shuttle service into central Ubud made exploring very easy, and we found ourselves visiting the Ubud markets frequently. Returning to the calm of the resort after busy market visits was the perfect balance. The spa experiences in Ubud were unforgettable, and The Lokha provided a peaceful and comfortable base for everything we wanted to do. An absolutely fantastic stay — we would return in a heartbeat.

The ocean view 2 BR villa was large, particularly the master bathroom. Seating area indoors was nice, but the outdoor area was amazing - loved the pool with several seating options in the water, a full sided table and chairs, outdoor shower (though temp not adjustable), hammock, lounge chairs, small tall-top table with chairs perfect for watching sunrise, and couch. Ocean view was only partial and about 3 rows of villas back from cliff edge, but still could see ocean, but not hear it. Occasionally saw monkeys having fun, but never bothered by them. Kids room and bathroom was also good size and very clean. Hats and bags were nice touch as resort gift. Breakfast was quite generous with very good variety on the buffet and entree menu. Menu for kids changed daily and my little one particularly enjoyed the unexpected presentation of the red velvet pancake. So many buffet options, might not have needed a menu for ordering. Used a cabana one day - great service, nice shade, an outdoor bathtub. if rough surf, can't do beach activities like catamaran or kayak, but other days was able to. Would not recommend rijsttafel dinner. We also booked a private boat for snorkeling thru hotel, but would recommend self booking thru Bluu as the boat we were booked on was in poor condition, though staff were nice.
