I come from the US, where most hotels priced at this level will have a microwave. Not having one caused quite some amount of food to be thrown away. Reheating with a m/wave could have been very useful, including reheating tea / coffee. The restaurant also needs to have more vegetarian and vegan options.

The hotel itself was absolutely fine and I enjoyed my stay. No complaints about the hotel. However, the parking situation really needs improvement. The underground car park is beneath a neighbouring building and is extremely narrow, with tight ramps and turns. Getting in and out with a minivan was quite a challenge, but obviously the physical layout cannot easily be changed. The real problem is how access is managed. You call from the entrance and they remotely open the gate, but it closes very quickly. With a larger vehicle, by the time you manoeuvre down the ramp, it may already be closed. There is no sensor to reopen it, and once you move forward, the intercom no longer works, so you have to get out and walk back up. I left around 10 pm to collect clients from the airport. I had already paid for parking, but when I returned I was told the car park was full and was initially sent elsewhere. Eventually they let me in — and I counted FIVE empty spaces inside. The validated parking card from the hotel has also never worked for me when exiting, so every time I had to call reception. I understand the hotel does not directly manage the car park, but if it charges guests for parking, the system needs to work. Narrow ramps are one thing; incorrect information about available spaces, unreliable access and non-working cards are another.

Beautiful rooms and helpful staff. Parking the car was very stressful, but free. Good breakfast Some guests were noisy a 3.00am but that's not the fault of the hotel

The hotel itself is a little tired and dated but we could not fault the staff on the standards they keep. We had dinner and breakfast and both were delicious.

All aspects are excellent, mainly the staff friendly attitude.

It is an old hotel and you are staying there for the location.
