Very good location around the morning market and many good food options. Ideal for first timer to Hakodate

The hotel is in a great location for getting around and visiting all the attractions Hakodate has to offer. The lobby is open and welcoming, and the staff are wonderful. There is even a free coffee machine, and the matcha latte it makes is delicious and addictive. The onsen bath was perfect and offers a great view from the top floor! They also provide free ice pops and cream sticks near the entrance to the men’s and women’s onsen. As others have mentioned, the breakfast is excellent. My only complaint is the room. While not bad, the Double Room with a King bed felt run down and very “well used.” It was clean and tidy, but it has certainly seen better days. That said, I can overlook this because everything else about the hotel was fantastic. As for restaurants and dining options, right outside the main entrance there is a cluster of eateries offering a great variety of food, and they are not affiliated with the hotel.

Plenty of food options but some are located far from hotel Traditional Japanese bed mattress is on thin side compared to other hotels we’ve stayed in
