Big dining table in the room, bathroom shower was leaking badly, kitchen facilities were decent, quiet place to chill

Very convenient location. Spacious and clean.

Staff are always lovely and welcoming. Our second bedroom was locked but they sent maintenance straight up to our room to open it up. Even with the planes overhead, the rooms are very quiet and no need for the ear plugs that are provided.

Amenities, proximity to public transportation, kitchen, big closets, great shower.

We stayed in a one bedroom suite for two nights for three people. The fold out bed is terrible with the mattress having springs / lumps everywhere. Very poor mattress for the money you pay. Room service food was the worst. I had a simple order of a ham and cheese toasted sandwich - it was burnt so I asked for a new unburnt one to be cooked. When it came back they had taken off one side and flipped the burnt side over. So it was burnt and uneditable - for $38 total. The Conciege service was outstanding. With so many options in Sydney for accomodation and if you know you will need a sofa bed and just want simple room service there are others choices

Beautifully redecorated rooms, with plenty of space for families and stunning views of the water. Restaurants and bars really well appointed, and centrally located for a staycay that feels beachy whilst easy access to the city. The bar is quite noisy on fri/sat as filters into the beachfront rooms, generally OK but harder when travelling with kids. Some fabulous staff and a few less so, hence the 4/5 for that.

Great location at CBD. Close to everything. As a female solo traveler, safety and convenience are my top priorities. This hotel works. My room was small and there is no view. My window faces another wall. But I don’t mind. The room was quiet and I got good rest after each day’s outing. No complaints.

It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. It was a lovely touch to see my name displayed on the TV when we entered the room, and a bottle of wine and a hand-written card. It's the little things that made the stay enjoyable. The check-in staff were also very lovely and helpful. I really appreciated them. Rooms: Spacious enough for 2 people. The bed was huge. I love the design and curation behind the decor of the room. The iPad controls were nice, such as automatic curtain openers and light controls. It would have been nice to have extra hooks in the room. I found it hard to find places to hang my towel, robe and bags. Coffee machine was a convenient addition to the room. Cleanliness: Given that I had paid almost $400 per night, I think there should have been extra attention to detail in the cleaning. There were a few crumbs in between the armchairs. It would have been nice for house keeping to vacuum the room more thoroughly as some times, there would be hair left behind. Would also be good to clean the shower grouts every once in a while. Other: One thing that was a bit annoying was the signal. My mum wasn't able to get signal while inside the room, and the TV kept freezing. There were also a lot of older shows on so the options on TV seemed a bit limited.

Love the ace, a shame the lobby bar wasn’t open until late on Wednesday like google review said, and couple of the bar staff not very friendly. All other staff at reception are lovely. Thanks for having us
