We had a great stay. Room was comfortable and had what we needed. The staff was professional and some were exceptional. Our room attendant, Nini, stood out as making our stay memorable with her professional work ethic and kindness. Would stay here again. Also enjoyed the restaurant

Avenue was exceptional. Wonderful staff, great food, spotless and beautiful rooms. The Christmas décor was elegant and festive, and the location couldn’t be better. An absolutely lovely stay.

The price was most we ever paid for a room($907 night) We were there for the NYC Marathon and wanted to be in that area. We had a $25 day credit towards food and drinks, one morning we ate in restaurant and breakfast for 2 people was $104 before tip. They charge me $10 cup for coffee when it was complimentary in the lobby. We returned after long day and they did not leave washcloths, I went to front desk, she called housekeeping and said they would have them right up, 30 minutes later I called and they said they were on there way, after waiting I finally returned to front desk and told lady to tell me where to go and I would go get me some washcloths, she went herself and got some, when I returned to room my wife said housekeeping came but said they could only find one washcloth and brought it. $907 night, do your homework before you go.

The room was extremely loud at night. Traffic and emergency vehicles, people and the room heat woke us up on and off all three nights. 5th floor is too low. Views were nice but we didn’t realize how awful the noise would be. Room heater sounded like a train coming through the room whenever it clicked on.

Location was good for most walking ventures in Midtown. Nice staff and cleaning crew. Sadly we had someone else’s left behind underwear under the bed frame, also a hair clip. How are these items missed? The evening “wine tasting” they advertise in the evening is a joke. Put out 1 bottle of red & white so when it’s gone, it’s gone. We never got a glass. Same for morning apples/oranges. The so called bar was open only 1 night of the 6 nights we were there and VERY expensive. So you had to go to the ever more expensive attached Scarpetto’s Italian restaurant and pay $30 for a glass. Luckily we found a cute Irish pub across the street. Just mediocre
