The outside of the hotel is not inviting, being part of a stadium complex. However, inside is a modern, stylish and comfortable place to spend one or two nights. The staff are very professional. The restaurant is good, as is the breakfast selection. The rooms are a good size. Plenty of parking for a small charge. There is a walking route to the centre of Zwolle but it takes 30 minutes.

Business trip

On arrival the reception staff verbalised conflicting information regarding pricing and parking. However after speaking to the dury manager Laurie who listened to our chaotic introduction to the hotel, she resolved the situation and we began to feel more relaxed. We dinned in the restaurant for dinner and it was tasty so we decided to have lunch the following day also. Gluten free option available and tasty gf bread. Great to see our 2 little dogs were welcomed also.

Recent stay

We booked this hotel last minute as we walked away from a reservation elsewhere. The hotel is brand new snd well thought out. Parking was right at the hotel and reception validated our parking. We ate dinner at their restaurant and it was really good. The breakfast buffet was really good as well. Despite the size of the hotel, it was very quiet. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming.

I stayed at the Lumen Zwolle Hotel in August 2025 for three nights. This is a serviceable business hotel with an on-site restaurant. No am The hotels room are standard size, with a nice bathroom and a large desk. My room had a king size bed which was clean and comfortable. The room also has a coffee machine and an in- room small refrigerator. There is a small workout room with outdated basic equipment, but it has the essentials for guests trying to stay fit on the road. There is also a very large lounge with a bar and a large amount of casual seating for reading, doing work and meeting for groups. The attached restaurant, The Bluefinger, is a typical large open style of restaurant, similar to the Van Der Valk hotels. I visited only for breakfast, and the food selection was quite good, with fresh meats, fruits, cheeses, and assorted Dutch standard breakfast breads. you may also order a freshly made omelet and French toast from the grille. As I mentioned, this is a business hotel, with few amenities. It is located in a gated shopping area and is attached to other stores and a casino. Basically, this hotel is for sleeping, eating, and meetings if you have business. I will return when I visit Zwolle again.

Very pleasant stay in a boring looking building

Modern, comfortable hotel with nice amenities and great restaurant. Nice big bathtub and separate shower. The only thing missing is a door to the bath/shower room... so it can feel drafty and cold even while enjoying a hot shower or bath. Staff was friendly, and the restaurant management and chefs were great. I rarely find hotel dining to be worth it, but this was. Also, the breakfast was good. Parking is super easy and cheap (5 EUR/24 hours), and it has easy access to major roads and is a short distance drive from the city center. Unfortunately, like many hotels, there is only one thick dekbed (blanket/comforter). It was definitely warm enough, but when it becomes too warm the only option is to throw it off until you get cold. It would be much nicer if there were a thinner one and an extra optional layer.
