"Great location in Kamakura that's near the train. There's plenty of food options nearby along with a small grocery store. Area is super quiet both during the day and night. Hostel staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. We stayed in a bunk room with bathroom & shower and you can tell the room was well used. Everything was very clean. Facilities in the common areas were well maintained (microwave and lounge space). Bunk bed was fine. I had the top bunk and it wasn't the easiest...

"Be sure to have the address with you and not just a map - can be hard to find but look for the black lantern. Beautiful design but if you're mobility challenged you should request the one room on the first floor - the stairs are super narrow. Walkable to the beach and to the transit line also. "
