「I checked in around 9:00pm on 8/11. The gentleman at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I thought the room had a slight smell. Maybe it was the cleaning chemicals, but it wasn't the usual pine smell of Lysol, more like a weird incense. But sheets etc were clean. I like that the window opened, but it could use a screen due to bugs. Breakfast was as advertized -- waffle maker, yogurts, etc. Coffee carafes (there were two) were almost full and piping hot, which is always a big plus for me!」

「The cabin was very clean and comfortable. It was very cozy and peaceful. We spent mornings and evenings on the deck that looks out over a small lake. We did not make use of them, but we noticed there were kayaks available, fishing docks and a rustic gazebo on the property. We enjoyed our stay and would rent this property again when in the area. Gloria was very friendly and helpful.」

「My family and I really liked "Our Neck of the Woods" cottage. We were returning home from a vacation in Michigan to St Louis and thought I'd be fun to go into Casey, IL to see all the world's biggest attractions before closing the book on vacation 2026. This property is quiet and welcoming. We had dinner at Richard's Farm Restaurant and it was excellent. We also saw a deer 10 yards from the cottage out back and a muskrat in the pdnd below along with other bird wildlife. Thank you for sharing...
