"What a gorgeous hotel. The garden room for the girls (our two Standard Poodles 💕) was absolutely perfect, they even had their own gift boxes and beds waiting for them, which was such a bonus. The team at The Royal George were wonderful, and Kirsty in particular couldn’t do enough for us. The whole place is spotless, beautifully thought through, and felt hugely welcoming. The Upper Deck restaurant was a real treat too, the monkfish was incredible, so if it’s on the menu, don’t hesitate! Tintern itself is such a gem… tucked along the River Wye, surrounded by peaceful country walks and the stunning, historic Tintern Abbey. A real find. Highly recommend. ✨"

"This is our 3rd visit here. Absolutely love the place. The house has such a lovely welcoming vibe to it. There are plenty of walks right on the door step. A national park 3 mins drive away with plenty of walks as well. The garden is beautiful and the fencing is very secure, so if you have dog's then they won't escape. We have 3 small Jack Russells, so could just let them outside and they played for ages. If there was an escape hole then they'd have found it and disappeared. All in all there's absolutely nothing I can fault about the accommodation or area. "

"We were made very welcome and the place itself was very cozy . It wasn’t nice weather so we appreciated it . The pub next door had great food and again we felt at home . They made such a fuss of our dog too . "

"Room.was very clean with a few little extra touches. Staff were very helpful. Not luxurious but perfectly acceptable for a couple of nights. Breakfast was good for an extra payment. Convenient location for town. Would definitely use again. "
