"I stayed at this hotel a few months ago and was impressed enough with it as a value for money proposition the first time that I decided to stay again the next time I had cause to be in Ann Arbor. All the things I liked about it the first time I stayed here remain good: it's clean and well-maintained. The staff are pleasant and professional. The location is good, especially if you want someplace to escape the crowds and mayhem of downtown at the end of the day. And the onsite restaurant is excellent--for dinner, but also for breakfast and lunch. The thing I really appreciated this time around is that they seem to have read and responded to the one complaint I voiced after my first stay--that they didn't offer simple drip coffee to guests of the hotel in the morning, something even the most basic motels seem to do as a matter of course these days. This time they did, which I really appreciated. I'm not sure if that was a result of my comment or if it's something they do occasionally, but not consistently, and I just happened to be there on before on days when they didn't. But I really appreciated the added amenity this time around. It made all the difference."

"The staff was very helpful and kind. They actually made the stay. The room was OK, there was no proper towel rack and no shower floor towel was provided. The shower door leaked leaving a puddle of water and the showerhead could probably use a deep cleaning or replacement. I found the steakhouse to be OK but a little on the steep side price wise. The staff was nice but I got the same drinks off site for almost half the price. Would I stay there again? If I needed to but I would utilize offsite facilities. "

"I enjoyed my stay, the room looked nice and clean. However, I had to ask for my towels to be picked up, my trash thrown out and for my bed to be straightened every day. I asked the front desk person this and this was taken care of. The staff were excelent in helping me and were very professional. A gym is on the first floor but I did not use this. They also have a breakfast area that you pay for which opens at 7:00 AM. The price is $17.99 plus tax making this $19.07 as of May of 26. I went only out to the right and the only restaurant I saw nearby was a Wendy's. Maybe the other way are some others within walking distance."

"The Inn at St. John’s is a beautiful property. Unfortunately with all their outside events it is hard to be able to dine at their restaurant 5ive as they are totally booked and you have to leave the property to find another place. They also give you four pillows on the bed but they are all the same overstuffed foam pillows. We stay here often when we are in town as it is convenient to visit family but it seems like it is becoming more work to make it a nice and relaxing stay like it used to be."
