  • This is one of my favorite hiking trails! It consists of 3 big waterfalls as you ascend to the top. Be cautious though you need real hiking boots to hike the trail. It’s extremely slippery because of the waterfalls and we went on a day where it rained so it was even worse. Most people make their way up the side of the waterfalls, which involves a lot of climbing on rocks and using your hands. It gets very crowded so we went up the "flatter" trail most people use to go down, which made for a really good work out, and started from the top waterfall and made our way down. This is not a kid friendly place. The trail is dangerous and difficult. There were warning signs everywhere saying to wear the correct shoes and that people have died here, but there were so many people there with their small children who were having lots of trouble climbing and so many people with flip flops. Also no one here had any hiking etiquette about letting others pass. Regardless, this is one of my favorite trails.

Felt like I was pulling up to Hotel Califonia. The outside was unkept, grass and landscaping made property look abanadoned. The room was clean and good enough for a place to stay for one night, while passing through

Very nice motel. Clean rooms spacious rooms. Only thing they need to do is get a good landscaper to take care of the grounds. High weeds and grass was about a foot high. Other then that it is a nice motel

The room itself was in decent shape and cleanliness, but the building showed a lot of deterioration. We booked here for the indoor pool, but the water and pool room temp was too chilly. Hickory Run State Park nearby was beautiful and worth visiting. A lot of businesses in the area are boarded up, and I would guess this hotel will join them which is unfortunate because the staff (owners?) were kind.

This property currently should remove resort from its name as it is hardly a resort. There is no food service since the restaurant and lounge/bar area is closed. The rooms were comfortable but severely dated. The only plus was the convenience and low price for a clean room and comfortable bed for the night.

Not what I expected

The hotel was in rough shape overall. Lots of unfinished projects and debris around. Our room was in reasonable condition, but the overall state of the hotel was rough. The two staff members with whom we interacted were polite.

Comfortable and pleasant stay, reasonable price

Surprisingly comfortable stay. The beds are quite nice, and the amenities are plentiful for the price. Did not try the pool, but nice to know it was an option. The building we stayed in was somewhat separate from the main building with the lobby. This included the buildings having individual parking lots, which was nice as you could park your car a very short walk from the building that you are staying in. There are a few fast food options just a couple minutes down the road, consisting of a McDonald's, a Burger King, an Arby's, and a Wawa's. Overall an amenable stay. If you are using it to go to the Camelback Resort for an event, such as we did, be aware that the trip is 30 minutes.

The rooms are decent but the property needs an update. I stayed here 10 years ago and the place has fallen off since then. We stayed 3 days and housekeeping never came once. I had to go to Walmart to buy my own towels. Hallways smell like mold and the carpets smell. The elevator kept getting stuck. Pool is good. Bbq area was good as well. The place just needs some TLC.

Checked in around 8:00 pm and wasn't feeling safe. The location is very remote. Was hungry and couldn't check the room /bathroom. When I came back from dinner and found out that, the toilet handle was broken, and the shower doesn't have any water pressure /no hot water. The sink was not clean either. Not worth it to stay

As I made reservation i though of a resort as stated in the name but boy was i ever wrong i arived a hour and half earlier the check in time 3pm had to pay extra $30 to check in early ok no big deal was directed to whete to go enterance A so i get there side walk not shoveled walk in to buliding and get a foul oder get to room find mold,nasty water in toilet, hallways very dirty,stair wells full of trash, room has a very foul oder which made my daughter sick, pool is green full of Algie,not heated,rooms very cold, hallway is very cold, i could go on and on ......... just dont stay here.....

Dilapidated and Dirty

I arrived to be greeted by a young man who didn't seem to know how to use the computer to look up my reservation. I realized later that perhaps it was because the wifi was so poor (it never worked in my room). This property looks to be about 60 years old, and clearly has been poorly maintained. The pool was empty (not full as in the advertisement). Common areas are dusty, smelly, with construction equipment strewn about. It is clearly falsely advertised on the hotels.com site. My room was dirty, and it appeared someone had cleaned their shoes or feet in the bathtub and the mud remained there when I checked in. The towels were old and "very" scratchy. The bed was good however. There was no thermostat in the room, and the manual settings on the AC made for an uncomfortable sleep. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I got a room that you could tell sat for a while. There was mouse poop next to the toilet and in the shower, on the sheets. I had to let the water run in the sink and in the tub for 15-20 minutes so that the brown water cleared up. Very outdated but the good thing from my stay is that it was close to the resort.

My reservation was canceled thank God. The place looked like a ghost town and the hitel itself was so cold and in a very bad conditions. The staff didn’t looked professional and the bathroom was dirty. We decided to go to another hotel instead of staying and make another reservation. It's a shame because the hotel is in a nice place and from the outside signs you believe that the hotel would be amazing.
