「The location was nice. We had a sea view room. The problem is that the room also faced the road and we could hear cars all night. And, the mattress was the worst I have ever come across in a hotel. It would have been more comfortable sleeping on the floor. The bathroom had heated floors however, which was very nice. 」

「It was ok for a cheap few hours sleep after travelling, was a little annoyed that the shower gel had run out and hadn't been topped up prior to my arrival but I just used the hand-wash that was likely the same anyway! Check in was simple at 2.30am and I was gone by 8am.」

「It was a very nice stay with an excellent couple. Warm welcomed. A very nice big dog was also present to welcome. I had to say hello to the dog as he was so friendly. Very cooperative host. Family environment. Residence is upstairs like three rooms and bathroom outside the rooms. Mostly quiet. Nice and clean and a proper communication with the host throughout my stay. I was invited warmly to have breakfast but had no time. Will miss this stay.」

「I loved staying at The Beaches because everything was perfect, the owners were on hand to do breakfast every morning which wasn't limited to either a full English or just cereals (as in some B&B's that I've stayed in), they were happy to be of any help that you needed. I would be very happy to stay there next year when I go down again. There was nothing to hate about staying there.」

「Lovely ,quiet hotel only 8 minutes walking down to the seafront. Very friendly but professional staff/owner. I had the full English ,it was delicious. There were other options available. Nice clean room with large ensuite. The towel rail warmer was actually on and kept towels dry and warm unlike some other places where there's no means of getting them to come on! I would certainly recommend to others.」

「Stayed many times in recent years and have never experienced any major issues. This time our room (310) was booked on the third floor which was not accessible via the lift and as I have mobility problems I asked for one that was. The lady on reception found us a suitable one (205) quickly. Excellent service from her and all the other staff members we had dealings with during our stay !!」

「The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble. We were sadly there as dad was in palliative care..We had flown in from canada, with broken leg, they let us check in early and were very kind. Room was great for accessibility but it did smell a bit musty/damp - but then had wet room so maybe that is why. 」
