Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We just had a lovely stay at the Richmond Hotel.
There was free street parking at the front of the hotel and we were lucky enough to get a space otherwise there was a large carpark just across the road which would have been about £14 a day.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming, engaging in conversation over our stay. The rooms were smaller than they looked in the pictures but they were clean and the beds were comfortable enough
The cooked breakfast in the morning was lovely and all cooked fresh to order.
We loved the proximity to the Pier as well as some nice independent places to eat just a short walk along the sea front.
Overall we found it a great little location and the staff friendliness increased the appeal of this otherwise dated property.
Last minute break to Weston with the family, booked the last room available, John (I believe is the owner) couldn’t be more welcoming, the hotel has plenty of character and your typical seaside hotel, room had plenty of space with a double and single bed along with en suite bathroom,
Very happy with our stay and will be our go to the next time we stay in Weston
Spotlessly clean, staff are exreamly friendly and cant do enough for you. The rooms are comfortable and typical of a british b&b but have to comment that they are spotless and have everything you could need. We went out of season so unable to comment on the bar meals but the breakfast was hot and plentyful. Id definitely return. Its a little gem of a place
Only stayed here as limited choice of alternative hotels. Basic accommodation, decor and style tired and dated. Poor electric shower that barely worked. Thin walls and cosy room size (for 3). On the plus side bed was fairly comfy and plentiful tea/coffee making facilities.
We really enjoyed our stay at Richmond Hotel, staff very friendly and welcoming. We went for father's day weekend and the weather was gorgeous and the hotel got a fantastic view of Weston Pier, the hotel is dog friendly and we brought our husky along with us. We had a fantastic time and we definitely will be back again
I was greeted in a very friendly manner and Jonathon was very helpful providing me with all the information I needed.
The breakfast was home cooked and fantastic.
Staff were 1st class.. breakfast was fantastic 😋
Bedroom a little small, same for bathroom.
Would have been nice to have a place to sit down and relax.
I booked this hotel for a family of 4, choosing a quad room - 1 double and bunk beds. the room was great, had a balcony and overlooked the sea and pier. Steve and Johnathan were very welcoming and throughout our stay (10 days) were always on hand if anything was needed. Everything was within walking distance and a great place for foodies. We are looking forward to a return visit - get the breakfast ready!
Great stay. Only 2 days but we had a sea view room with balcony. Breakfast was included which was great. Full English!!. Owner was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.
Last minute booking and generally a good experience. Managed to watch Weston fireworks from our sea-facing balcony. Only issues were:
a) lack of free parking in the area
b) 20-minute delay waiting to be served at breakfast
Excellent location for us as we had a great outdoor seating area at the front of the hotel (which was perfectly maintained) and overlooking a fabulous play area for our 8 year old and only 5/10 mins walk from the pier.
The owner was friendly and on hand to help whenever and the breakfast was lovely.
Only negative was our view!
Untidy Rooftops rather than the sea!
Other than that it was the perfect stay for our night away and would definitely return again.
Very small room for the price.
Difficulties parking no carpark with hotel.
Greeted with we are not serving food just breakfast which is not what you want after a day travel and arriving after 8pm
Great hotel for a couple of nights away. Jonathan the owner was a perfect host, and all staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean with ensuite facilities and bed was comfortable. Delicious cooked breakfast.
Excellent location - walking distance to town, restaurants, pier etc. Many rooms have sea view. We enjoyed being able to get a drink from the hotel bar (good range of drinks available) and chill on the patio overlooking the playpark, with views to the bay and pier.
Limited on-street free parking, but right next to a pay and display car park if you're not lucky enough to get a free space.

The Richmond – A True Home from Home
"The Richmond is everything you want in a stay – warm, welcoming, perfectly located, and with breakfasts to remember.
If you’re looking for somewhere in Weston-super-Mare that feels like a home from home, The Richmond is the place to be. It’s in a fantastic location, with plenty of amenities and great places to eat within comfortable walking distance.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth by the owner. His friendly nature and extensive local knowledge made my three-night stay even more enjoyable, with plenty of great suggestions for things to do and see.
Breakfast each morning was perfect – spot on, beautifully presented, and expertly prepared and served, they couldn’t do enough to make sure everything was just right.
On my last day, I had the pleasure of meeting the owners mother and her close friend, and we enjoyed a lovely conversation about the importance of good food and service – something The Richmond clearly understands and delivers.
I have no doubt this will be my go-to place to stay whenever I return to Weston.
Thank you, Richmond – see you again soon!

No heating had to have electric heater, had to pay deposit of £20 for a tv remote, took around 20 minutes for shower to go warm to have a shower.
The property was very dated. Breakfast free but mouldy! Interference from staff as to who we should and shouldn’t speak to whilst on our holiday. Telling us what to do regarding when we leave the hotel (who to and not to speak to) - very patronising. Our room was very basic! Dust everywhere like no one had been in there for years. Everything very rickety. Stains everywhere - bedding, curtains were horrendous. We felt very judged by staff and other guests just stared at us constantly because we were younger. Would not go back unfortunately.
Johnathan the owner greeted us at the door as we entered which was nice.when my five year old granddaughter asked for a balcony he said he would which made her day.the room had a bunk bed and a double bed.wardrobe and a set of draws.tea and coffee.fantastic views from room.breakfast is good.woll be back
