"The cottage was perfect for 2 for an anniversary get away. Convenient to Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown without being congested. A number of restaurants in the area. Watching the sunset from the river dock was beautiful every night. Although we only ate breakfast there, the kitchen seemed to be equipped with most everything you need. Although we had no problem, the narrow steep stairs to the bedroom could be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Overall a very nice place to stay if you like a quiet time."

"I enjoyed my overall stay at The Tides Inn, but I wanted to share a few thoughts about the dining experience. Staying several nights made the limited dinner menu and lack of daily specials more noticeable. The dishes felt overly elaborate, and the prices seemed high for the experience. A more traditional and varied menu could better meet guests’ expectations and make the premium pricing feel more worthwhile. That said, don’t miss the hidden gem, the Fish Hawk Bar/Grill and be sure to ask for Joey. It’s a shame it closes so early, as it would be the perfect spot to enjoy an evening cocktail or two."

"Here’s a warm, natural version:We had such a wonderful stay at Kim’s VRBO! The place was absolutely adorable, extremely clean, and even nicer than we expected. "We ABSOLUTELY loved our stay here. Beautiful views, peaceful, accommodating...it was all of the things. The rooms were spacious, the master bed was nothing short of amazing! So comfortable!The deck needs a little attention, but it certainly served it's purpose, and we enjoyed sitting out at night with family talking and enjoying the solitude. Being on the island is like taking a step back in time, and it truly embodies a traditional coastal community. We loved every minute of our stay and will be back!"
